Have you missed the secret to improving your game$%: A "secret" that has been right in front of you all these years$%:
The secret we are talking about is golf fitness.
"A secret$%:" you say. Well, it must be since so many golfers seem to have overlooked it.
Yes, we know all about the success of fit golfers of like Tiger Woods and Anna Sorenstam. But did you know Gary Player, known as the Black Knight and the International Ambassador of Golf, is also known as Mr. Fitness$%: Player turned pro in 1952 and has been winning tournaments in both regular and senior events for the last 6 decades. And he has been a pioneer in the field of golf fitness all along the way. Yet few people, golfers among them, were even aware of that factor in his success. Fitness has always been a part of the success for many golfers on the pro tour but so many others have neglected it totally right down to this day. And many everyday, Sunday golfers aren't even aware of it either. They have been
looking for an edge and buying expensive equipment endorsed by the big money winners, yet they have neglected or missed completely the advantage given to the fitter golfers. Don't be like them. Look at golf fitness like many of the pros do today to improve their game.
Golf fitness can produce more power in your swing, give you staying power and stamina right to the end of your 18 holes or allow you to complete a full tournament, swinging with the same gusto at the end as you did at the beginning. And...it will keep you playing on the links while others are staying home to nurse their pulled muscles and other golf related injuries. Don't let that be you.
Don't worry about becoming fit enough to run a marathon or weight training 5 days a week to become a Mr. Universe winner. All you have to do is become "golf fit". That means being able to swing your club all day long in the proper swing plane and with the same easy, powerful swing. And that also means being able to concentrate for all 18 holes. A lack of fitness can really affect you in that respect as well and few people realize it. I guess all you gain is another advantage in your foursome!
Take a look around and you will see exercises that are specific to golf, that don't require a lot of expensive equipment and don't require a large outlay of cash to join a gym or fitness club. If you can do that, great! But it won't be necessary. A small set of dumbbells and some swimming or jogging for cardio work and you will be good to go.
Learning and applying the "secret" is easy but you will reap a large reward when you become golf fit. Not only will you play better but it will make your entire life better to boot as well.
What are you waiting for$%: Go get fit!
